Donald B. Halverstadt, M.D., Physician and Chairman Emeritus, University of Oklahoma Board of Regents and Vice Chairman, Governing Board, Oklahoma University Medical Center Hospital System, Oklahoma City, OK

Dr. Halverstadt is senior physician and former chief of the Donald B. Halverstadt, M.D., Center of Excellence in Pediatric Urology at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma and vice chairman and one of ten governors of the Oklahoma University Medical Center Hospital System of the Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Dr. Halverstadt is the former chairman of the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents, of which he was a member from 1993 to 2000. He previously served as a member and twice as chairman of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. He has also served as the provost for the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and as the CEO of the Oklahoma Teaching Hospitals. Dr. Halverstadt was a founding director of Lincoln National Bank in Oklahoma City and currently serves on the boards of directors of the BancFirst Corporation of Oklahoma, the Presbyterian Health Foundation and the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation. In addition to numerous publications and presentations, he has been listed in The Best Doctors in America® and was named Urologist of the Year by the National Kidney Foundation, Oklahoma Chapter. A board certified urologist, Dr. Halverstadt graduated from Princeton University, attended Harvard Medical School, and was trained in surgery and urology at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
