Bell and its surrounding counties are experiencing remarkable growth, along with an overwhelming need for a choice in healthcare providers, services and advanced technology. Through a joint venture with LHP and the Seton Family of Hospitals, Bell County will soon be home to a new hospital. Groundbreaking for Seton Medical Center Harker Heights occurred on April 4, 2011. The new state-of-the-art hospital is expected to open in the third quarter of 2012.

The LHP and Seton joint venture will benefit the community on many levels. In addition to enhancing the quality of healthcare and creating close to 2,000 new jobs by 2022, the three-story hospital will have a total economic impact of $1.5 billion over a ten year period. Matt Maxfield, who has 24 years of healthcare experience, serves as hospital CEO.
